Shame on Twitter
Shame on Twitter for forcing all third party apps to conform to its stupid OAuth standard in the name of security. All it really is is a ploy to inconvenience end users so much that they give up on third party apps. Twitter’s disdain for end users and third party apps has been well documented this past year.
Shame on Echofon for saying there is a new version of its app out and then not...
Deregulation
When republicans talk about deregulation, liberty and laissez-faire, they are not talking about for regular people, but their rich, corporate cronies. They are happy to regulate regular people into the dust.
No Scroll Wheel?
Seriously, Logitech? How can you expect people to use a trackball with no scroll wheel? That is just insane. It’s like making a bicycle with no pedals.
Back to Amazon your pricey new toy goes while I get a slightly used trackball with a scroll wheel. Don’t worry. It’s still a Logitech.

How to Get the Google Toolbar to Work with Firefox...
After shutting Firefox down, do a Windows search for a folder titled {3112ca9c-de6d-4884-a869-9855de68056c}. In the folder, find the install.rdf file and edit it with a text editor, such as Notepad and change the maximum compatibility version from 4 to 5.
Tech Lawsuits
I wonder if I’m the only one who thinks all these tech patent lawsuits, like Apple vs Samsung, aren’t going to ruin a good thing by stifling innovation. Any time someone comes up with a new tech, they seem to run the risk of some douche bag claiming they ripped off his idea and suing.
Seriously, if your new idea is so groundbreaking, PATENT IT! Otherwise, STFU when someone else...
Verizon Wireless, the Ripoff Kings
Starting July 7, for all new and upgraded smartphone users:
2GB – $30/month
5GB – $50/month
10GB – $80/month
What a fucking joke! These Droids and iPhones go through more than 2 GB in a week with all the background synching and updating!
How dare Verizon advertise and market this shit to us, then punish us for actually using it?
Verizon Wireless should be stripped of their share of...
Cell Phone Bans Suck
I might be getting summoned for jury duty this summer and the courthouse I’d have to report to has a ban on cell phones with cameras. My Droid 2, of course has a camera and is the only phone I have at present.
If I’m summoned, I’ll have to either go without a phone (not happening), or maybe check my phone with security, which I don’t trust. The only other option is to buy...
Tumblr app
I hope Tumblr will update their Android app with push notifications for messages.
Problems Must Cease
We are now over a decade into the Digital Era, yet problems persist. Websites go offline, ISPs either drop connections or refuse to connect in the first place. The question is why.
The Internet as we know it has been around since roughly 1995. Surely in the past 16 years, there has been ample opportunity to work out the bugs and make services, sites, etc. reliable.
There is no excuse for a...
Why the Big Deal About Weiner?
He was only bare chested in the photos. It’s not like he was flashing his membrum virilis for the whole Web to see.
Honestly, are we that puritanical?
Post PC Will Never Happen
For the past ten years, people have been saying that smart phones and Web-enabled devices will supplant computers in our daily life. I’ve yet to see that. PCs and Macs continued to be cranked out by the dozen and people still buy them.
Boring Day
I’ve been spending the day downloading UT2004 maps because my friend backed out on apartment hunting and it’s too damn hot outside to go walking.
Just do it
I say if you plan to do something, you need to just do it, not sit and daydream about it.
